Senior IT Auditor
The opportunity
Our client, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to join its Risk Advisory practice serving banking and financial services clients across the GTA. You will lead and execute IT audit and technology risk engagements, assess IT general controls and application controls, and work directly with client stakeholders at the manager and partner level. This is a hybrid role based in Toronto. The work includes assessing IT general controls that underpin financial statement audits, documenting the client’s IT environment, and preparing the working papers that support each engagement.

What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of IT audit experience, ideally within financial services or banking
- CISA designation required; CISSP, CIA or CPA considered strong assets
- Deep knowledge of ITGC, application controls, and SOX / internal controls testing
- Experience with SOC 1 / SOC 2 engagements and reporting
- Working knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001 and COBIT frameworks
- Strong risk assessment and audit planning skills across infrastructure, applications and cybersecurity
- Experience auditing cloud environments (Azure / AWS) is an asset
- Excellent report writing and client-facing communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and mentor junior auditors
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting or a related field
- A strong aptitude for technology viewed through an audit lens, with a completed or in-progress designation such as CISA, CIA or CPA
